A Schiavona, a renaissance Italian basket-hilted sword (probably 16th Century).
I really liked the cage on this weapon, so I decided to have a go at modelling and texturing it. It's a little bit off reference because when I started I wasn't going to be making it exactly.

Blender Blockout and then SubD Modelling. Zbrush Hipoly with vert colour and noise. Maya retopo and scene set up. Substance Painter textures.
